The Nevell Group inc. (NGI) took home two Walter F. Pruter Project of the Year Awards from the January 20, 2015 program sponsored by the Western Wall & Ceiling Contractor Association (WWCCA). The Walter F. Pruter Awards recognize projects that exemplify the inion construction work of a WWCCA contractor and serves to highlight how the scope of work that the association’s members provide contributes to the overall success of a project. Projects are judged by overall design, quality of workmanship and the use of materials specific to the WWCCA trades.
This year NGI won for their work on the Kaiser Permanente Antelope Valley Medical Offices in Lancaster in the Exterior Hospitals/Healthcare category and the Los Angeles Hall of Justice for Interior Renovation. Both projects presented the NGI team with challenges including the breakthrough design of the Kaiser MOB with its multiple, variegated facades and the meticulous restoration of the 1925 Beaux-Arts Hall of Justice, which had been shuttered since the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
